Our Story

Hello! My name is Kelly, and I’m the owner of Braemore Bakery, located on Route 77 in North Guilford, Connecticut. What began as a simple hobby in my home kitchen quickly grew into a side hustle rooted in a love for baking and sharing good food. As demand grew, so did Braemore Bakery, allowing me to bring freshly baked artisan sourdough and homemade cookies to my local community, made with care, intention, and time-honored techniques.

Braemore Bakery specializes in artisan sourdough baked goods made from scratch using time-honored methods and simple, high-quality ingredients. Our classic sourdough loaves are crafted from our original recipe using our homemade sourdough starter, bread flour, salt, and spring water. We also offer rotating inclusion loaves, such as our chocolate chip croissant loaf and brown sugar cinnamon swirl, made with unsalted butter and thoughtfully selected ingredients. In addition to bread, we sell homemade cookies available in three tiered quantities: half dozen, one dozen, or two dozen. If you have any allergy concerns, please email or DM us before ordering. All products are clearly labeled in accordance with Connecticut Cottage Food guidelines.

Operations

Pre-orders are placed through our HotPlate storefront. During the winter months, October through March, we operate on a pre-order-only basis. In the summer months, May through September, our farmstand is open and stocked with weekly inventory. Saturday pickup is available from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. HotPlate allows customers to sign up for notifications so they never miss a drop. Drop orders go live on Sundays and inventory is limited; once items sell out, the drop will automatically close.
